Thanks to all who made the 75 Annual Novena Happen. Thanks to each one for coming. Thanks for the wonderful inspiring ministry of the Choir. For the Ministry of the Sacristans and the extra arraignments it took each day to make the traditions of our Church present to us each day as we came to pray the Novena for 2008. To the Ministers of the Eucharistic Assembly and to the ones who directed us . To the ones in Holy Orders who celebrated and preached our Novena. Hospitality at the Vincentian Parish Hall was A beautiful reception for Archbishop Rodi. Besides the food there was a lot of preparation and cleaning. Thank you for your extra effort.

Our Pledge Cards to support the Mission of our Parish are still being received. We may be a little behind. Only six people have pledged for 2009. The total pledged so far is $13,360. Please consider this seriously. October is Pledge Month.

The Stewardship Committee needs to get started on the Budget Request for the Parish Service Committees. Please get Budget Request in so can act on them.
“What’s in a Name?”
We need employees, church members, and students’ suggestions for renaming the “Land of Cotton”. The “Land of Cotton” is a quarterly newsletter published by the City of St. Jude. The Newsletter
illustrates the mission work here at
The City of St. Jude.
Suggestion boxes are located:
Front of the City of St. Jude Church,
St. Jude Educational Institute Lunchroom,
Father Purcell Memorial Children Center Cafeteria,
Appeals Office, and St. Jude Apartments Lobby.

November we pray for the Eternal Rest
of our friends and loved ones.
The Book of [ETERNAL] LIFE
is at the front near the Baptismal Font.
We pray for all the ones written in this Book.
